I want a script that allows me to cycle through my weapons on the mousewheel and have them available to fire immediately, without having to press once to select them. Anyone got one? Also where do I put it...I've only just started playing after some years but I remember an autoexec.cfg file maybe?

google it, 50 - loads of scripts out there that can be used.

or try this:

QUOTE
Here is a script that should go in userconfig.cfg. Scroll down and it moves to next weapon. Scroll up and it moves to previous weapon in your inventory. You do not need to click to confirm, it will just move to that for you.

//Fast Automatic Weapon Switching made by Jonneh
alias fwu "invprev; +attack; wait; -attack"
alias fwd "invnext; +attack; wait; -attack"

bind "MWHEELDOWN" "fwd"
bind "MWHEELUP" "fwu"
//End FAWS by Jonneh

Thanks, I did google it but I'm on my nice shiny new work laptop and a lot of those sites looked like cheat sites so I didn't want to trawl through them. Where do I put that script?

Anywhere in there. Also have a look at http://www.counter-script.net/index.php?id=25 - used to use this a lot back in the day biggrin.gif

"hud_fastswitch 1" to have your weapon ready immediately.

"bind MWHWEELUP invnext"
"bind MWHEELDOWN invprev"

should allow your to scroll through your inventory.

Should both be fine in your config. Autoexec is useful for external scripts but these are ingame commands.

There's a little checkbox for fast weapon switch in the in-game keyboard options iirc.

lol

I think that you can just type that stuff into your console I think and as long as your cfg file is not write protected then it will remember it.

Hi there,

New here, but heres a copy of the cfg etc I use. Found the mouse wheel setup I use to be the most efficiant of all the combinations I've tried previously.

The following I use in an action.cfg file executed from the config.cfg(exec actions.cfg).

//binds

bind "MWHEELDOWN" "slot2"
bind "MWHEELUP" "slot1"
bind "MOUSE1" "+attack"
bind "MOUSE2" "+attack2"
bind "space" "+rjump"
bind "alt" "djtog"
bind "k" "graph"
bind "TAB" "+statusrpt"
bind "l" "cmdrate_tgl"
bind "F3" "buy deagle; buyammo2"
bind "F4" "buy mp5; buyammo1"
bind "F5" "buy famas; buy galil; buyammo1"
bind "F6" "buy ak47; buy m4a1; buyammo1"
bind "F7" "buy defuser; buy falshbang; buy hegrenade"
bind "F8" "buy defuser; buy falshbang; buy hegrenade; buy vesthelm; buy flashbang; buy smokegrenade"
bind "F9" "buy sg550; buy aug; buyammo1"
bind "F10" "buy scout; buyammo1"
bind "F11" "buy awp"
bind "HOME" "buy flashbang"
bind "INS" "buy hegrenade"
bind "PGUP" "buy smokegrenade"
bind "DEL" "buy defuser"
bind "END" "buy vest"
bind "PGDN" "buy vesthelm"
bind "LEFTARROW" "roger"
bind "RIGHTARROW" "negative"
bind "UPARROW" "enemyspot; say_team *** ENEMYSPOTTED ***"
bind "DOWNARROW" "needbackup"
bind "KP_HOME" "reportingin"
bind "KP_UPARROW" "inposition"
bind "KP_PGUP" "sectorclear"
bind "KP_RIGHTARROW" "enemyspot; say_team *** ENEMYSPOTTED @ SITE B ***"
bind "KP_LEFTARROW" "enemyspot; say_team *** ENEMYSPOTTED @ SITE A ***"
bind "KP_5" "enemyspot; say_team *** BOMBHERE ***"
bind "KP_END" "enemyspot; say_team *** MULTIPLE ENEMIES SPOTTED ***"
bind "KP_INS" "exec actions.cfg"
bind "KP_DEL" "cont.on"
bind "KP_ENTER" "exec settings.cfg"

//Developer alias

bind "k" "graph"

//Status Report Viewer Script

alias +statusrpt "+showscores; cl_showfps 1; timeleft"
alias -statusrpt "-showscores; cl_showfps 0"

bind "TAB" "+statusrpt"

//Update and Command Rate Adjuster

alias slowc "dev1; echo ** Slow NET Activated **; dev0; cl_updaterate 33; cl_cmdrate 33; alias cmdrate_tgl fastc"
alias "cmdrate_tgl" "slowc"

bind "l" "cmdrate_tgl"

echo
echo **** ACTIONS.CFG LOADED ****
echo

As a side note, I've found a lightblue crosshair with cl_crosshairusealpha 1 & cl_crosshairscale 2200 to be the most effective all round on all backgrounds(unles your looking directly at something bright).

Hope this helps.
