yes that's right boys and girls Battlefield is back.

Using the same Frostbite™ engine as Battlefield Bad Company 2, Battlefield 1943 takes players back to WWII. The game offers endless hours of 24 player multiplayer action over three classic and tropic locations; Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima. Delivering the award-winning through-the-gun and vehicle warfare online experience DICE is best recognized for, Battlefield 1943 will have players battling in ruthless aerial dog fights and intense trench combat.

Battlefield 1943 is out for PC, PS3 and 360 this “summer”.

Played that wasn't overly excited by it. Whilst the game was ok it just didn't have the feel of COD4.
The WWII era is getting boring, its been done to death, 3 or 4 battlefields 5 MOH, 4 COD. Its just nice to get a change of scene. I spose the modern warfare based on todays political make up is in its self politically incorrect so studios would be warey of basing games in this era.

1942 was awesome, BF:Vietnam was immense, BF2 just sucked the fun right out of the game
