Found dead at home this morning: http://www.bbc.co.uk...-wales-15909277. Other reports say suicide by hangin. Whatever, what a waste.

Very sad news.
So many tributes pouring out about him.

So so sad.

RIP Gary.

Very fucking weird this is.

A man of integrity anyway. Never spilled the beans on why he left Everton.

It is isn't it.

I can't think he planned to do it that day, maybe few people do.

Quite sad about it really. I know the media has driven it massively so maybe im influenced, and yes I know about starving children in Africa etc, but still - a very sad turn of events really and quite unprecedented in the world of sport.

Me too really - don't know why but I can't stop thinking about it. Maybe it's imagining what a bleak place somebody must be in to do that, especially seeing that one of his family was going to find him too.

You never know what's really going on with people though - could be a million reasons and not all of them necessarily to do with a long standing depression that was being hidden from his loved ones.

It's very weird. Lawrenson said he was happily chatting to him that weekend, possibly even the day before.

Leeds fans, during tonight's Forest game, will sing Speedo's name for 11 minutes, from the 11th minute. I wish I could have been there. I can't believe how sad his death has made me feel. Must have been a great man to know, I don't remember many involved with football receiving such heartfelt tributes after their death - Bobby Robson maybe.

I saw that just before work at five this morning. I struggled to fight back tears. Heh.
