it is either really badly optimised or really needs more than my core 2 duo. 720p low detail and 1080p high detail i get similarly awful fps. <_<

It is. Or rather, it can be. Because its one big map you really need voice Coms and working together to acheive stuff.

Yeah its a big big to try and do anything much by yourself.

Fighting stuff is mostly all in as are vehicles. Not much in the way of customisation or levelling though.

I thought there was a fair bit of customisation once you get a few battle ranks. From what i can tell its like the Modern Warfare system, you can unlock better weapons and perks the more you play.

4 or 5 mates could have some real fun zipping about capping things and generally harassing the enemy. I can see big eve-type arranged zergs happening too...

customisation of guns seems to be in, certifications and buying new guns doesn't.

BIG patch today (1GB+) fixed a lot of things including proximity voice coms (mostly). Performance improvement too.

Haven't been on the beta in a while since GW2 came out.

Will play the game when it comes out, but not sure that pack offers anything very exciting.

Though I must say I think its going to be one of those games that isn't much fun unless there is a gang of you playing.

I was considering getting a new CPU since that seems to be the main bottleneck. Maybe I won't bother. For a while. :naughty:

it will now be my graphics card that is the bottleneck. I shall play around with settings to find the optimum quality/performance balance.

I have an 6100 3.3ghz AMD chip and it seems to be the bottleneck, I can drop settings down to low without much of an improvement in fps.

Have they changed much in any of the recent patches Dev? I've not really had a chance to touch it since GW2 came out :x

They've improved graphics performance and you rack up cert points really quickly so you can try loads of addons for the vehicles and weapons. They might have fixed in game Coms but I don't use it much.
