Just curious. I figured I was lactose intollerant or something, shifted over to goats milk. Anyway, tedious story short and all, ended up drinking some of our Charlies finest Duchy Original un homogenised organic milk.
No gut pain associated with it.

Anyway, just thought I'd share in case there were any other milkies around.

Seems some other folk noticing something along the same lines out there...

Some fascinating stuff here on dairy stuff in general.

What kind of sore gut? Is it ANY time you drink milk, or just late at night?

Too much milk gives me lung hack. Loads of people are lactose intolerant (fucking racists...) but don't realise it because the reaction isn't so severe that they link it to drinking milk.

Try going without any dairy for a week or so, see how you feel.

@snafu - yeah, any time. A glass of semi skimmed standard stuff makes me feel like I have a stitch. The duchy stuff doesn't.

As for getting off it - I did. Ended up with muscle and joint pain due to a lack of calcium... in part due to low vit D, but that just helps the calcium uptake, so by dropping that as well it left me in the shit.

Well I'm just saying.....go to your doctors, sounds like you have a problem. Or search for your exact symptoms at the very least.

Went years ago, hence the moving to goats milk lark.

Just thought some of you might be interested to know that just the un homogenized milk seems to cure the problem on its own.

I don't drink much milk now but that's because people at work think a white coffee is 50% water 50% milk and that's just THE MING.

I now drink black coffee so people can't get it wrong.
