Every time I reboot my laptop, the trackpad (is that what it's called? The mouse thing) stops working properly. I can still move my cursor but the other details, like two-finger-scroll thing, which normally functions like a mouse scroll wheel, and the three-finger-right-click thing, stop working completely. The only way to get them back is to open the mouse options in control panel. I don't have to change any options or do anything other than open the mouse part of control panel, and then it works again. Obviously, it's not a big deal, but it's really irritating to have to do this every time I boot up.

Any idea if there might be a permanent fix? Thanks.

You may need to update the touchpad drivers.

I had a problem with a Toshiba laptop after a Windows reinstall. The cursor didn't seem to move around so easy, it would select and drag icons when I passed over them, and no multi finger stuff would work. After searching various Toshiba support pages I ended up downloading the Synaptics OEM drivers, which solved the problem.

Ok thanks Dean I thought I was up to date with drivers but I'll check anyway. Really annoying.
