ey oop you soft suthen bastads!

Ahem.

We're off to see Book of Mormon in August at the Prince of Wales theatre on Coventry street. I'm looking at hotels atm and I found a reasonably priced one on Bolsover St. I can't get any scope from Google maps so I would like to know if anyone knows how far apart the two locations are i.e. is the theatre walking distance? I hate the Tube.

Also if there's any tips for places to visit that are not Buckingham Palace that'd be nice too. We're only off for two days, mind. Decent restaurants that aren't Michelin starred wallet-gobblers maybe. Cheers, you wonderful bunch.

Are you just going for one night?

I usually stay in serviced apartments - usually very nice with flat screens and cooker, fridge etc - not massive though. A decent one in Paddington is about 80 a night.

China Town is just around the corner from the Theatre. Depends on what you like - Pizza express, Browns, most of the chain restaurants, yada yada. Where you staying?

Grange Fitzoria I think it's called mate. I'd quite like to go to Chinatown just to experience, it having never been, but I love Soho as well and that's quite close to where we're staying (according to Jackfrost!)

To be honest mate, walking around you can get to most places in 10-20 minutes.

Chinatown isn't hugely impressive but there's a few decent cheap places to eat and there was a couple of pretty good Chinese bakeries, not been for ages.

I'd agree with Jack - you can do better than China town for a decent meal. Soho is about 20 mins away, and in between there are loads of places to eat. Some of the pubs do surprisingly good food as well.
