I've been getting an extraordinary amount of huge Windows updates recently. On an almost daily basis, I get 2 updates, which when they come bring my laptop almost to a halt. They're the kind that install when you shut down, and until I do this everything is extremely slow. When I DO shut down, the updates take up to half an hour to install. Almost every day, and at least every two days. I've had a look and they all seem to be .NET framework updates, whatever that means, and I did a quick Google and didn't find anything untoward, but I don't really know what to look for.

Are these updates anything to be concerned about? I don't remember this ever happening in any previous version of Windows I've used (I'm on Windows 7 currently), and the size and regularity of them are unusual to me. Cheers Babbs.

See I shut down half an hour before I started this topic, and I posted the topic as soon as Chrome started up after the shut down, and immediately I have two more. It's really not on.

Make a note of the exact update - are they different every time?

Just make sure to delete the "delete" command last - or you'll upset yourself.

As steve said, delete the delete command and make sure you clear your recycle bin after deleting everything
