Tonight I had cajun chicken, cajun potato wedges, home made coleslaw and corn on the cob. Tasty

Yesterday I had to explain to my (recently) ex-g/f that just because we slept together doesn't mean that we're back together. Much crying ensued. From her obviously, not from me. :P

It is a shame this place is dying, I did used to spend a lot of time reading/posting on here. Wonder what happened? Did we just all grow up and stop using discussion forums? Has everyone drifted off to other forums? I think people just grew up, got married/had kids etc and stopped wasing time on here. :P

The main game which everyone played got old is the main thing I think. We never attracted enough users outside of the original could of hundred - once they naturally dwindled away new users didn't come. At one point we were one of the top 500 forums in the world in terms of total number of posts (I think it was top 500).

We have been very unfriendly to new people. They would come in, post a couple of times and then get pounded by in jokes and previous thread comments.

I post on other forums - some football ones and Reddit.

Top posts were probably due to Sticky making like 5,000 posts a day. :D

Not surprised we don't get any new users - who wants to listen to a load of old duffers talking about how great it used to be in "the good old days". We got old... :P

I turn my pc on, load bbc news, see what going on at the circus(facebook) then drift off to reddit to spend my hours. Wait for the dogs to come online on steam and smash the current game we are playing.

That and sleeping and working.

edit: 10 years ago I was 15, only just, thats lol! .. Man you guys are still old!!

You sold them into bondage.

And I'm now pushing 50. Hanging around with Vidrio can get a man a bad rep.

I got older (28), wiser and realised we're all dick heads.

I also got a job as a game designer, lost 6 stone in the past year and will be moving to brixton next month.

Calorie counting with MyFitnessPal on my phone (high protein, low carb) and a set of Withings wifi scales that automatically uploaded and tracked my weight.

Awesome work! Did you exercise much or just go something like 1000 cals below maintenance a day?

Still here, lurk now and again, 12 hour shifts as a steelworker kind of limits my time for things like this when I am free so I don't come on here all that much. Only tend to post now when I see a topic that appeals to me.

A little more exercise (cycle to work ~40% of the time and a swim at weekends) but mostly just by sticking to 1,800kcal a day apart from Fri/Sat :P

If I go below 2200 cals a day I want to break things, how the fuck you managed that 5 days a week for 12 months is amazing!

Well done anyway mate, you should be really proud.

Well done on both counts. Glad to see you got out of the QA phase, some dont seem to be able to break out.

Much like you, I have gotten a job as a designer+programmer. Temp contract initially, but if all goes well this will hopefully blossom in to something more. Working for Frictional Games now.

Also tried myfitnesspal, but was shit at it - but mostly due to stress (funerals and stuff :()

Have not argued the toss enough, need to get back in to that.

edit: I also turned 28. Are you copying me?
